Kuraray is a globally active specialty chemicals company and manufacturer of innovative high-performance materials from Japan. The company is one of the largest suppliers of polymers and synthetic microfibers for many industries with well-known brands such as KURARAY POVAL™, MOWITAL®, SentryGlas® and CLEARFIL™.
The European subsidiary Kuraray Europe GmbH was founded in 1991 and is headquarterd in Hattersheim near Frankfurt am Main. In 2022, the approximately 1,000 employees of Kuraray Europe GmbH generated annual sales of EUR 1.3 billion. From Hattersheim and Frankfurt (Hesse), Troisdorf (North Rhine-Westphalia) as well as seven other European sites, customers are served primarily from the automotive, paper, glass and packaging industries. However, architects, planners and dentists also use Kuraray's products for their demanding applications.
